Component Protection Removal / Component Adapt (SVM)
When replacing modules on your vehicle, you'll often find there's a built in security feature called Component Protection. This prevents the module from operating correctly or at all until it's removed using the correct diagnostics system.
This service also covers modules requiring adaptation via SVM (Software Version Management). For this to be successful, the module must be the correct part number and software version.
VINs will be checked to ensure used parts are not from stolen vehicles. We will not attempt to adapt modules that have been flagged as being from a stolen vehicle.
